Chicago, Illinois

At Bill Walsh Honda, we’re proud to be located in the Windy City, the capital of the Midwest. With a rich heritage and diverse population, Chicago is a truly a one-of-a-kind place to live. As one of the biggest cities in the US, you can always be sure there’s something to do in Chicago.

The city was first settled in the 1780s, and officially became a town in 1833. Due to its location near Lake Michigan and its railroad system, Chicago quickly became one of the biggest trade capitals of North America. Though still an important trade and industrial center, Chicago also features a beautiful cityscape, vibrant nightlife, and unique culture.

Chicago is full of famous landmarks, including architecture, museums, and parks. The Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower), the Fine Arts Building, and the Chicago Building all draw many tourists every year. The city is also home to the Art Institute of Chicago, the Adler Planetarium, and the Shedd Aquarium—a few of many world-renowned museums and galleries. In addition, you can visit Wrigley Field where the Cubs have played for 100 years. Get Cubs postseason tickets, and enjoy a hot dog and watching home runs from MVP candidate Kris Bryant if you're in town!

There's always something fun happening at Navy Pier!
Festivals and other events occur year-round in the Windy City, showcasing music, cultural heritage, and much more. For example, the city hosts a St. Patrick’s Day Parade every year, dying the river green. There’s also the annual Chicago Blues Festival, as well as the Chicago Food and Wine Festival
 in August.

A booming nightlife is also what makes Chicago so special, with a unique range of craft breweries, clubs, and concert venues. Named the ‘Greatest Drinking City in America’ by GQ Magazine, Chicago is home to an ever-expanding craft beer and cocktail scene. For music lovers, Lollapalooza happens every year, drawing crowds from around the world.
